War reporter Benjamin Hall, who nearly died in missile attack, answers 7 questions with Emmy
Published at | Updated atEvery week I’m interviewing exciting people from Idaho and around the world!
My guest today is lucky to be alive after he was reporting in Ukraine when a Russian missile hit his vehicle. Benjamin Hall is a Fox News Correspondent who survived the attack three years ago. Cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and producer Oleksandra Kuvshynova were killed in the incident.
Benjamin wrote the #1 New York Times bestselling book “Saved: A War Reporter’s Mission to Make It Home.” He has a new book coming out on March 18 called “Resolute: How We Humans Keep Finding Ways to Beat the Toughest Odds.”
He will also be coming out with a FOX Nation program titled “Resolute with Benjamin Hall” on March 18.
I spoke with Benjamin on Zoom from his home in London. Here’s what I asked him:
- Why did you decide to write a new book and what is it about?
- In your book, you talk about beating the toughest odds. How did you get through those first few days after being injured?
- What was it like when the doctors told you that you no longer had a leg?
- What do you remember most about Pierre and Oleksandra?
- What is your favorite thing about being a dad?
- You’re in the UK and I’m in Idaho. Have you ever been here and tried our famous potatoes?
- How did you talk with your kids about the attack that nearly killed you?
- Can you share a piece of advice that might help me and our viewers?
