Woman airlifted to hospital following rollover crash in southern Idaho

EDEN – A woman was airlifted to the hospital following an early morning crash on Interstate 84 in Jerome County.

It happened Saturday around 3:15 a.m. at mile marker 183.3 near Eden, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.

An unnamed 28-year-old man from Mexico was headed west in a grey 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. He reportedly overcorrected and lost control, causing the vehicle to flip on its side near East 990 South.

He was wearing a seatbelt, according to ISP, and did not have any significant injuries. His passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Mexico, was not wearing a seatbelt and did have significant injuries. Authorities do not specify her exact condition, but report she was airlifted to a hospital.

It’s not clear whether traffic was impacted by the crash.

Multiple agencies were involved in the response. The Jerome County Sheriff’s Office helped ISP. First Segregation Fire Department, Rock Creek QRU, Magic Valley Paramedics and Air St. Lukes helped as well.

The crash remains under investigation.
