We recently learned about a 90-year-old woman named Gail who has volunteered at the food bank for decades. Here’s what the message said:
On May 14, Gail celebrated her 90th birthday – a milestone that marks not only the passage of time but a lifetime of dedication to service and community.
Since 1972, Gail has volunteered every Friday at the local food bank, offering her time, energy, and compassion to those in need. For over 50 years, she has been a constant presence – greeting visitors with a warm smile, lending a listening ear and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Her decades of service are a testament to her deep commitment to others. In that time, she has become more than just a volunteer; she has become a friend to everyone she meets and a beloved figure in the community.
Her selflessness, kindness and enduring spirit continue to inspire all who know her.
