DRIGGS — Fall River Electric Cooperative will be holding its annual Energy Expo and business meeting for owner-members on Saturday, June 13, at Teton High School.

The Energy Expo is a free event for all customers of Fall River Electric, a news release states. A free breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and a beverage will be served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. inside the Teton High School, 555 E. Rose Ave.

The first 300 members attending will receive a free Idaho-shaped bamboo cutting board and a tote, according to the release. Additionally, the first 350 members will also receive a free thermostatically controlled electric outlet.

The family event will also feature kids’ activities, including bucket truck rides with the co-op’s linemen, bounce houses, a climbing wall and a number of STEM activities. The release says the first 300 children who visit each of the science, technology, engineering, and math activities will receive a free school backpack.

The Fall Electric Cooperative was first established in 1938 by farm families in the Ashton area, according to the release. The co-op now has over 16,000 members and more than 21,000 meters. The co-op’s service area today includes all of Teton Valley Island Park, West Yellowstone and rural portions of Fremont, Madison and Jefferson counties. It is one of only three electric cooperatives in eastern Idaho.
