3 people arrested for trafficking meth and cocaine as part of a federal investigation

VICTOR — A federal investigation in Teton County has resulted in the local arrest of three individuals, accused of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.
According to court documents, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in a federal investigation to execute a search warrant at a home in Victor on July 21.
During the execution of the search warrant, a woman, Carmen Rosa Torres Ore, 26, was found inside the home and assisted investigators in determining which room belonged to whom. She shares the room with her partner, Edgar Jaimes Angeles, 47, and a one-year-old child.
Torres Ore had given investigators a fake name and was later identified by her Peruvian passport.
A search of the bathroom resulted in investigators finding a plastic baggie tied in a knot of a white powdery substance. The total weight of the baggie and its contents was 31 grams, and it tested positive for cocaine.
In the main bedroom, three baggies were found, where one of them had 31 grams of cocaine, and the remaining two tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 56.7 grams.
A sleeping bag was found, which was determined by investigators to be concealing cocaine and meth, as well as men’s and women’s clothing.
In total, 62 grams of cocaine and 56.7 grams of methamphetamine were found in the second bedroom.
A third individual, Isais Adan Alcaide, was arrested after investigators found him hiding behind a couch at the home during the search.
Alcaide had been in discussion with an undercover agent to do a drug deal for four ounces of methamphetamine and two ounces of cocaine. The drug deal was planned for the day the search warrant was executed.
During the search warrant, investigators searched Alcaide’s room, where a Mexican passport with his information inside was found in a nightstand. Also located inside the nightstand was a gum container with methamphetamine inside.
The documents also detail that a trailer in the backyard was searched after a K9 alerted investigators to the presence of drugs inside.
A search produced 4.8 ounces of cocaine and 0.7 ounces of methamphetamine.
Alcaide told investigators that he had delivered methamphetamine in the past on multiple occasions and that Angeles aided him in taking him to those deals. He also said that other individuals provided the drugs for him.
Alcaide, Angeles and Torres Ore were each charged with felony trafficking charges of methamphetamine and cocaine.
Each count carries a potential punishment ranging from a mandatory minimum of three years to life in prison.
Angeles and Torres Ore have been appointed a public defender. The Idaho State Public Defender’s Office does not comment on active cases. Idaho’s Crime Repository shows no attorney representing Alcaide.
All three are scheduled to appear before Magistrate Judge Jason Spillman at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 for a preliminary hearing.
Though they have been charged with these crimes, it does not necessarily mean they committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
