Idaho Falls real estate teams launch annual ‘Coats for Kids’ drive

IDAHO FALLS — With colder temperatures on the way, two local real estate companies are teaming up to help keep children warm this winter.
Idaho Agents Real Estate and Axen Realty will host their first annual “Coats for Kids” drive on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Park in Idaho Falls.
The event will collect new and gently used children’s coats, which will be donated directly to local schools to help students in need stay warm throughout the winter months.
Lexus Hawkins, a Realtor and event organizer, said the goal is to make the coat drive an annual tradition held on the first Saturday of November.
Community members are encouraged to stop by, donate a coat and enjoy a free cup of hot chocolate while supporting local children.
Hawkins said organizers hope to continue the event each year as a way to give back to the community.
