Idaho Falls Names New Fire Chief
Published at | Updated at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — The City of Idaho Falls announced Thursday that Dave Hanneman will be the new Chief of the Idaho Falls Fire Department. He will begin his duties on October 20.
Hanneman has over 30 years of experience in firefighting and emergency medical services.
He holds an Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Service Technology from Boise State University and a Master’s Degree in Professional Technical Education from the University of Idaho.
Hanneman replaces Dean Ellis, who left the department earlier this spring to manage the fire service training program at Eastern Idaho Technical College. Duane Nelson has been serving as interim fire chief.
