Bad Weather Prompts Disaster Declaration
Published at | Updated at(POCATELLO, ID) – Eight Idaho counties have qualified for disaster relief from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Federal authorities determined that damaging rain and hail between July 25 and Sept. 1 was significant enough to warrant assistance for farmers and ranchers who qualify. Bingham Bonneville, Clark, Jefferson, and Power counties were specifically named, as were all bordering counties.
Those needing low-interest emergency loans have eight months to apply for help from the Farm Service Agency.
