“The SpongeBob Movie,” “Jupiter Ascending,” “Seventh Son” Open Friday

“Seventh Son” – Universal(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water — Nickelodeon’s popular animated character returns to the big screen for his second movie, which is billed as his “most super-heroic adventure yet.” The cast includes Antonio Banderas, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Douglas Lawrence. The film is screening in 3D. Rated PG.

Jupiter Ascending — Mila Kunis plays Jupiter Jones, a cleaning lady on Earth who discovers, with the help of a genetically engineered ex-military hunter played by Channing Tatum, that she’s a queen of the cosmos. Oscar-nominated actor Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean and Douglas Booth also star in the film, which was directed by the Wachowski siblings and is screening in 3D and IMAX 3D. Rated PG-13.

Seventh Son — The “Seventh Son” is a young man with powers who’s placed on a mission by the sole remaining warrior of a mystical order to conquer an evil queen. Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Ben Barnes star in the film, which is screening in 3D and IMAX 3D. Rated PG-13.
