“Chappie” Wins Box Office in Relatively Quiet Weekend

Sony / Columbia(NEW YORK) — In a relatively quiet weekend for the box office, Chappie debuted on top, beating out Will Smith’s Focus for the highest weekend gross.
Chappie, a sci-fi action film starring Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel and Hugh Jackman burst to the forefront, with The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel opening in third place. Vince Vaughn’s Unfinished Business disappointed, opening in 10th place.
