SHELLEY — The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a downed power line along the New Sweden Highway at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.
The Bingham County Dispatch Center reports a tractor working in a potato field near the Bonneville/Bingham County line struck a power pole.
Witnesses say at least one line fell and became entangled on one of the farm vehicles in the field.
At 6:30 p.m. dispatch reported deputies are still on-scene and waiting for Rocky Mountain Power workers to arrive before they begin clearing the accident.
No one was injured in the incident.
Rocky Mountain Power reports 158 area homes were initially without power as a result of the accident. About half of those homes had power restored by 7:30 p.m. Rocky Mountain Power spokeswoman Margaret Oler said full power is expected to be restored later this evening.
