East Idahoans Find Work With Oil Companies

(IDAHO FALLS) – Scores of eastern Idahoans are finding work in the oil fields of Montana and North Dakota.  Local News 8 reports that workers are often involved in “fracking,” a process of shooting pressurized fluid deep into the ground and freeing up oil and natural gas.  The practice is now migrating to Idaho, as oil companies have begun leasing land in the southwest corner of the state.  A bill granting the state oversight on the natural gas industry is currently up for approval in the Senate.
