REXBURG –- Sugar Daddy’s, Hissee Fit’s and Jelly Belly’s by the pound. Just looking around the store it feels like Runnin 4 Sweets in Rexburg carries every type of candy you can imagine.

“I’ve never seen candy like this before, until I came here,” Rexburg native Breanne Gibb said.

Four-years-ago Patti Lehman and her husband Michael started their very own sweet shop. Lehman says having the store was originally her husband’s idea.

“It’s my husbands project and he was just looking for a niche to fill in town,” Lehman said.

Lehman said when they first began they mostly specialized in old-fashioned candies. Now the shop is full of sweets from around the world that will keep you searching for just the right one.

“We specialize in international candy and bottled sodas. We have right now over 100 different root beers, and lots of other cream sodas and ginger beers, birch beer … and lots of other candies from your childhood. Just lots of sweet stuff,” Lehman said.

Runnin 4 Sweets caters to customers both young and old.

“My favorite part about working here is having the kids come in because their eyes just light up. It’s really fun to see them look at all the different things that they can choose from,” Rasmussen said. “The old people they find candy here that they haven’t seen for years, since they were kids.”

Customer Cody Chapman says he comes every once in a while to get his candy fix.

“I love coming here, their candy’s just the best, so many varieties and different flavors,” he said.

Lehman says they carry treats from everywhere.

“Lots of people have traveled throughout the world and throughout the country and there’s certain things that you can only find in certain places, so we try to have some of those things so that (customers) can have em’ closer to home,” Lehman said.

And if they carry don’t your specialty sweet, they’ll find it and ship it in for you.

“Get addicted to it and then come back and buy it again and again, and I’ll keep stocking it,” Lehman said.

Runnin 4 Sweets is located at 58 East Main Rexburg and open Mon. through Sat. 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
