Bruins Live to Fight Another Day, Beat Capitals 4-3 in Overtime
Published at(WASHINGTON) — The Boston Bruins still have a chance to defend the Cup. For the third time this series the Bruins and Washington Capitals went into overtime, and this time the Bruins won 4-3.
Tyler Seguin scored his first goal this postseason at the 3:17 mark of overtime to tie the series at three.
Tim Thomas had 36 saves in the win. He talked about the team’s attitude heading into the extra period.
“Basically, just believe that we can do it,” Thomas said. That we’re going to come out on top. It only takes one shot and we’re headed back home for Game 7.”
And that is exactly were their headed. Game 7 is Wednesday night in Boston.
