Teton County administrative offices, court facilities closed due to weather

DRIGGS — Due to inclement weather, an administrative order has shut down local court operations for the day at the Teton County Courthouse.
According to the order in the District Court of the Seventh Judicial District, the Teton County Commissioners have closed the Teton County administrative offices and court facilities on Tuesday. This is based on the severe weather conditions, including snow and blowing snow, with winds creating blizzard like conditions.
Multiple roads throughout Teton County are closed.

“Based on the immediate risk of harm to court personnel and members of the public, and pursuant to Idaho Court Administrative Rule 48, the Administrative Judge hereby suspends all court operations in Teton County,” the order said. “The Administrative Judge orders that the Teton County Court facilities remain closed until the roads are open and the court personnel and public can safely travel to the court facilities.”
The order was signed on Tuesday by District Judge Dane Watkins.
