Police searching for man who tried to convince young child to approach his vehicle

CHUBBUCK — The Chubbuck Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man whose attempted contact with a neighborhood child was allegedly suspicious.
The incident took place in the Mountain Park Road area in Chubbuck on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025. The man was driving a light silver or blue color SUV, possibly a late-model Jeep Cherokee Latitude. Police say he attempted to convince a young child to approach his vehicle.
Police are asking locals to look at the pictures of the vehicle to see if they recognize it.
