Tiger Woods Nabs 8th Win at Firestone
Published atWoods headed into Sunday with a seven-stroke lead and never led by less, as he shot an even-par 70 to win the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.
The win is Woods’ first at Firestone since 2009.
Woods now has 18 WGC wins for his career — no one else has more than three. The win is also his fifth of the season and 79th of his career, putting Woods three behind Sam Snead’s record of 82.
Woods played it safe all day, parring 16 holes to finish the tournament at 15-under par.
Keegan Bradley and Henrik Stenson finished in second, seven-strokes back.
