POCATELLO — The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market returns for its 2025 season this Saturday, May 3, at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello. It will bring fresh produce, local artisans, live music, and a brand-new way to reward shoppers. Now in its third year at this popular community gathering place, the market is launching its first-ever Harvest Rewards program.

With the new rewards program, patrons can pick up a Harvest Rewards card at the Market Information Booth and earn stickers with every purchase — no minimum purchase required. Once enough stickers are collected, shoppers receive $20 in bonus bucks that can be used anywhere at the market.

“We feel like the economy has been struggling a little, and the rewards program is our way of giving back to the community,” said Ellen Loomis, marketing manager for the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market. “It’s a way of attracting new customers to the farmers market and rewarding our loyal regulars.”

Loomis also noted the market’s continued growth, with the addition of 15 new vendors and five new farmers this season.

“Since 1990, the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market has been a fixture in the community, bringing together farmers, artisans, and families to enjoy local goods, entertainment, and hometown spirit,” said Loomis. “We’re grateful to the community for supporting the market through the years and helping us grow into what we are today.”

Saturday’s kickoff will feature music by LuAnna Berry, a first-time performer at the market. Patrons can also look forward to seeing some of their local favorites this year, such as The Eclectics Band and The Angel Tones.

The market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from May through October. Special extended hours are planned for Oct. 4 during the annual Harvest Festival.

In addition to the Saturday market, midweek events are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at various locations, offering more opportunities for the community to connect with local producers.
