Boat Accident; Alcohol Lead to Arrest
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after one of his friends was killed in a boating accident earlier this month. Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Fife was operating a boat on the South Fork of the Snake River and ran it aground while under the influence of alcohol. The crash killed 33-year-old Cara Tomita of Rigby and severely injured another passenger. Following an investigation by sheriff’s deputies, a warrant was issued for Fife’s arrest. He turned himself in on Thursday. Bond has been set at $100,000.
