Two Brits Arrested Under Terrorism Act
Published at(KENT, U.K.) — Two men were arrested at the Port of Dover, Kent in England on Monday, on suspicion of being involved in acts of terrorism.
The British citizens, ages 22 and 29, were approached by Kent Police and subsequently arrested under the Terrorism Act of 2000.
An investigation is currently underway by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, which includes search warrants at an address in East London.
The men have been brought to a London police station where they remain in custody for questioning.
