Woman killed in crash near Jerome

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.
JEROME — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday at 9:34 p.m. on US93 at East 200 North in Jerome County.
A 2015 Ram 2500 pickup, driven by a 56-year-old male from Jerome with a 51-year-old male passenger, was traveling south on US93. A 2022 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by a 46-year-old female from Richfield, was traveling north on US93.
The vehicles collided head-on near the intersection of US 93 and East 200 North. The driver and passenger of the Ram were wearing seatbelts, and the passenger was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Crosstrek was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to their injuries on scene.
Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Jerome Police Department, Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Jerome Rural Fire Department.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
