ASHWAUBENON, Wisconsin — Police have released body camera footage capturing the aftermath of a confrontation at a Cinnabon store in which an employee was fired after shouting racist slurs at two customers.

The release of the footage comes after a TikTok video of the encounter last month went viral, showing a white female employee cursing, taunting customers and using the N-word from behind the counter. At one point, she declares, “I am racist and I’ll say it to the whole entire world. Don’t be disrespectful,” while also making an obscene hand gesture.

Cinnabon confirmed the worker was “immediately terminated” by the franchise owner once the video spread online. In a statement posted on X, the Georgia-based chain called the footage “disturbing” and said the employee’s behavior “does not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves.”

In a follow-up statement to the Associated Press, the company added that the worker’s actions were “completely unacceptable” and in no way represented the expectations for guests or team members.

The TikTok user who filmed the incident said it unfolded as she and her husband stopped for a break while shopping at a mall in Ashwaubenon. She told viewers she had ordered a caramel pecan cinnamon roll and asked for more caramel because the pastry appeared light on topping.

She began recording, she said, after the employee snapped at her and mocked her hijab, leading to the heated exchange now seen in both the viral video and police-released footage.
