Riverbend Awareness Project highlights JustServe for National Volunteer Month
Published atFor National Volunteer Month, the Riverbend Awareness Project sat down with Susan Stucki, a local JustServe specialist with a passion for service and community connection. Stucki shares the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available throughout Eastern Idaho—from helping at the humanitarian center or community food basket to donating supplies to the Ronald McDonald House or supporting the People in Need Coalition. There are countless ways to lift, serve, and support neighbors in need.
She also highlights Idaho’s statewide initiative to complete 250,000 acts of service by the 4th of July in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. In fact, all of 2026 has been officially declared a “Year of Service” in Idaho. Residents are encouraged to report acts of kindness—big or small—at Idahokindness.com and be part of this historic effort.
The goal of both National Volunteer Month and Idaho’s Year of Service is simple: inspire lifelong habits of giving back. Whether it’s strengthening an existing passion for service or sparking a new one, these efforts aim to build stronger communities and more connected individuals.
