Former Clinton Chief of Staff Returning to White House
Published at(WASHINGTON) — John Podesta, Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff, is returning to the White House, ABC News has learned.
A senior White House official confirms Podesta will serve as counselor to President Obama.
This is the second big hire for a White House that is seeking to get back on track after the troubled health care rollout helped send Obama’s approval ratings to record lows.
Late last week, Phil Schiliro, who was White House liaison to Congress during the first two years of Obama’s first term, returned to work on health care implementation.
