James Heeding
June 30th, 1958 - October 13th, 2026
James “Jim” Herbert Heeding, 68, passed away on October 13, 2026.
Jim was born on June 30, 1958, at the LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to William Carl Heeding and Beverly Louise Hansen. He grew up in Idaho Falls, graduated from Idaho Falls High School, and later earned a degree in physical therapy from Idaho State University.
Jim served in the United States Army, stationed in South Korea.
He had a lifelong interest in physical fitness, winning a Mr. Idaho Falls competition, and enjoyed powerlifting, bodybuilding, and swimming. He was also a fan of classic movies.
Jim and his father spent their lives together as best friends, and Jim proudly cared for him in his later years. He loved his dog, Mighty Mouse, and cherished his friendship with his neighbor, Henry.
Jim is survived by his six siblings, Deborah Karen Heeding (Ferris), Caprice DeVonne Heeding (Wilson), William Carl Heeding II (Bill Kuban), Phillip Kenneth Heeding, David Andrew Heeding, and Michael Stephen Heeding. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
