Two Pocatello businesses step up to help customers with unused Extreme Rush gift cards

POCATELLO — Two local entertainment businesses are stepping up to help families left holding unused gift cards after Extreme Rush abruptly closed in Pocatello.
Deleta Skating and Heber Hatchets in Pocatello have teamed up to launch “Pocatello Plays On!”, a community goodwill initiative that allows customers to put their unused Extreme Rush gift cards toward admission at either business.
The promotion begins Friday, Oct. 23, and runs through Nov. 21.
During that time, anyone with an original Extreme Rush gift card or gift certificate showing a dollar amount can bring it to either participating location and receive admission credit equal to the amount on the card, up to $50 per card.
The initiative comes after Extreme Rush, a popular indoor family entertainment center, unexpectedly closed its doors on Monday, leaving some customers with gift cards they had not yet redeemed.

According to Deleta manager Kathryn Christensen, the goal is to give those families another opportunity to enjoy local entertainment and make new memories.
Deleta Skating & Family Fun Center, located at 520 Yellowstone Avenue, has been a longtime fixture in the Pocatello community, providing generations of families with a place to enjoy roller skating, birthday parties and other activities. The entertainment center also offers escape rooms and arcade-style games.

Heber Hatchets, located at 504 E. Center Street in downtown Pocatello, offers axe throwing and interactive games for participants ages 6 and older. The venue caters to families, friends and groups, with staff providing instruction and safety guidance.
Under the promotion, the admission credit can be used for the cardholder, friends or family members during a single visit. Each gift card can be redeemed only once, and any unused credit will be forfeited.
Only purchased gift cards or gift certificates with a printed dollar amount are eligible. Complimentary passes, promotional vouchers and free admission passes will not be accepted.
The credit applies to admission only and cannot be used for food, drinks, arcade games, merchandise, parties or private events. It has no cash value.
Customers must present their original gift card or gift certificate, which they may keep after redemption.
Organizers emphasize that “Pocatello Plays On!” is an independent community goodwill effort and is not affiliated with or sponsored by Extreme Rush.
The promotion is available exclusively at Deleta Skating and Heber Hatchets Pocatello through Nov. 21, subject to availability.
