Obituary Gloria Jean LeCheminant Laker
January 19th, 1951 - January 14th, 2024
Gloria Laker was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on January 14th 2024 at the age of 72, she was a wise, hardworking, and caring soul who will be remembered by the people she supported. Gloria LeCheminant Laker was born January 19, 1951 in Idaho Falls, Idaho followed by siblings: Marla Case, Gwen (Donald) Edington, Tom (Debbie)LeCheminant and Carol (Scot)White.
Gloria graduated from South Fremont High School and attended Idaho State University, later in her life she received a Bachelors degree at Whitworth College.
Gloria met Ernest Laker her soulmate. They married on June 12,1970 and would have two children, Weston and Joel. Making their home in Post Falls, Idaho.
In her retirement she would travel all over the world, loving every place she visited.
When her two children gave her five grandchildren she would help take care of them when their parents were busy. According to her that was what brought her the most joy in life. She was an avid quilter, sewing over 600 quilts, at least 300 of which were given away to charity.
Her wisdom guided people around her, and her kindness supported and uplifted everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed
