Si Charles Jaramillo

Si Charles Jaramillo, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2025, at his home. He was under the care of Heritage Hospice.

Si was born on November 13, 1951, in Shelley, Idaho, to Samuel and Marlene Staples Jaramillo. He grew up in the Shelly and Firth area. He attended high school in Shelley and Firth and later earned his GED. He became a pipefitter through the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 648; He was proud to be one of their members since 1975.

On March 17, 1978, he married Susan Diane Ostler in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He had previously been married to Janice Hiendel and Shawna Buchanan. He was the father of 5 children: Kristy, Bonnie, Shaun, Justin, and Levi.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, camping and fishing with friends and family. He especially enjoyed the moments at the Oregon coast on family vacations. He also enjoyed breakfast once a week with the retired union members.

He will be remembered as a great grandpa who loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them new things. He was described as the worlds strongest man.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Heritage Hospice, Dr. Baker, and his nurses, Emily and Liz, for the great care and support given to Si and the family.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Jaramillo of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his daughter, Kristy (James) Fritterer of Colonial Beach, Virginia; his sons: Shaun (Chanel) Jaramillo, Justin (Kristen) Jaramillo, Levi (Coren) Jaramillo all of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sisters: Veronica (Gene-deceased) Bradley of Reedsport, Oregon, Viola (Floyd) McNutt, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Estella Lockyer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mary (Danny) Nelson of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Jenny (Ted) Jensen of Firth, Idaho; his brothers: Sam Jaramillo of Blackfoot, Idaho, Paul (Gina) Jaramillo of Rigby, Idaho, Vincent Jaramillo of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Leonard (Jessica) Jaramillo of Rigby, Idaho; and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Edwards; his parents: Samuel and Marlene Jaramillo; his brother, Dell Jaramillo; and his grandparents: Si and Emma Jaramillo and Verda and Donovan Staples.
