Jobless Rate Stays Steady in July

(BOISE) – Idaho’s jobless rate remains steady at 9.4 percent. The state’s average unemployment numbers haven’t budged since May, with some 27,000 unemployed workers collecting benefits. The Idaho Department of Labor reports that only 21 counties saw a reduction in jobless rates, while 23 counties saw increases during the month of July – when unemployed workers collected an estimated $26.6 million in benefits.
