(NEW YORK) — The new cast of Dancing with the Stars will be announced Tuesday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, and one of the celebrities who will vie for the Mirror Ball trophy this spring will be troubled comedian and actor Andy Dick.
That’s according to TMZ.com, which reports Dick was on the Dancing with the Stars set Monday, as was another comedian, D.L. Hughley, and reality star Lisa Vanderpump.
A source says Dick has been cast “more for comedy…nobody expects much from him,” though Dick himself is said to be taking the competition seriously.
Dick has struggled with substance abuse in the past and appeared on Celebrity Rehab. He’s also had multiple brushes with the law in recent years.
Super Bowl-winning Baltimore Ravens player Jacoby Jones has already been confirmed to have joined the cast by ABC. Some of the other rumored names include Wynonna Judd, former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler, and current “Bachelor” Sean Lowe.
Dancing with the Stars returns on Monday, March 18, with a two-hour premiere.
