(NEW YORK) — Warren Buffett, the notoriously tech-phobic Berkshire Hathaway chairman and CEO, has joined Twitter.
Appropriately enough, @WarrenBuffett’s first tweet reads, “Warren is in the House.”
The Twittersphere couldn’t roll out the red carpet for the 82-year-old Oracle of Omaha fast enough, with online welcomes from former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and others.
Buffett, for his part, seemed amused by all the hoopla. When asked the significance of his joining Twitter, he replied, “It means my family can no longer say I’m lodged back in the 19th century.”
