(SAN JOSE, Calif.) — The San Jose Sharks have re-signed forward Raffi Torres to a three-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
ESPN.com reports the deal is worth $6 million.
“We are very excited to bring Raffi back to the San Jose Sharks,” Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in a statement. “He competes hard in all three zones and brought a lot of ingredients to our lineup last season. We think he is a great fit for our club moving forward.”
Torres came over to San Jose from Phoenix before the trading deadline this past season. He had two goals and four assists in 11 regular-season games.
Torres would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 5.
