POCATELLO — X Games gold medalist Colton Satterfield, a Pocatello native, is in town and ready to thrill.

He’s one of several athletes performing in Ramp Riot at Holt Arena this weekend.

Satterfield, the reigning BMX Big Air 2014 gold medalist, made his seventh appearance at the X Games in Austin last year. Satterfield currently lives in Salt Lake City but has returned to Pocatello to host his Ramp Riot event.

“Pocatello is my home town,” Satterfield told EastIdahoNews.com. “I love this area and if it wasn’t for Pocatello, I probably would have never gotten on a bike.”

Satterfield and Vince Byron organized and produced the Ramp Riot event in Pocatello last August. This year Satterfield says the number of stars performing is double and this years event will be bigger and better than ever.

Satterfield and other athletes spent Thursday setting up ramps. Following a computer generated layout, crews positioned ramps to precise measurements.
