Christian Petersen/Getty Images(TEMPE, Ariz.) — The Arizona Cardinals placed starting quarterback Kevin Kolb on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his season. He hasn’t played since going down with a rib injury in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills.

The Cardinals announced Ryan Lindley will start this Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

In six games this year, the 28-year-old Kolb tossed 1,169 yards and eight touchdowns against three interceptions.

After beginning the season 4-0, Arizona has lost nine straight.
