(RUPERT, ID) – Human remains found in the City of Rocks National Reserve have been confirmed as those of a Rupert woman. Authorities say Norine Boyd went missing in late 1988. The remains were found last October with the assistance of a cadaver dog. Officials were pursuing information about Boyd’s disappearance at the time. DNA samples were sent to a forensic lab in Texas, with test results announced Tuesday. Rupert Police Chief James Wardle says that Boyd’s death remains under investigation.
