SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1421067773132ABC News(WASHINGTON) — Despite al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula claiming credit for last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris, Attorney General Eric Holder told ABC’s This Week Sunday that credible evidence has yet to surface “that would allow us to make a determination as to which organization was responsible.”

Holder, who was speaking from Paris Sunday where he was attending a terrorism security summit of international intelligence and law-enforcement officials, said the U.S. stands in solidarity with France following the murders of innocent people at the offices of a satirical newspaper and kosher market.

Until it can be determined which group was behind the deadly attack in Paris, Holder ruled out any kind of retaliation for now.

As for those who cite Islam to kill others, the attorney general remarked, “I certainly think that we are at war with those who would commit terrorist attacks and who would corrupt the Islamic faith in the way that they do to try to justify their terrorist actions.”

Asked about the possibility of a similar terror strike taking place in the U.S., Holder maintained that there is nothing to indicate “any ongoing threat or any threat that was activated by what we see so tragically here in France.”
