FBI 0421913 DzhokharTsarnaevFBI? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1426807306539FBI(BOSTON) — The jury in the Boston Marathon bombing trial was given a look inside suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s computer on Thursday, including extremist material.

Prosecutors highlighted a pair of files on the computer, including a PDF titled “complete Inspire,” which appears to refer to al Qaeda’s e-magazine Inspire. The second file was named “join the caravan,” and may refer to Abdullah Yussef Azzam calling upon Muslims to rally in defense of Muslim victims of aggression.

The “join the caravan” file had been accessed about one month before the attacks, prosecutors said.

The defense says there is no proof that Tsarnaev was the one who downloaded the “terrorist material.”

Also shown in court on Thursday were items recovered from the street where Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan engaged police in a shootout. Among the items were Tamerlan’s high school diploma, an ID with his picture written in Cyrillic, and what an FBI special agent called a modified transmitter.

Federal prosecutors appeared to be nearing the end of their case against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, though local prosecutors in Middlesex County said they still intend to pursue murder charges against him.
