Since a poll of 5,700 employers by Michigan State University suggests this will be the best hiring environment in years, NerdWallet.com did an analysis of 100 cities to find out what metro areas offer the best opportunities for graduates, not only for job, but other features such as affordable living and social life.

Madison, Wisconsin, is listed as the number one place to find a job. There, the median income is $44,510, the rent is 24 percent of a weekly paycheck and people between the ages of 20-29 make up 26 percent of the city’s population.

The rest of the top 10:

2. Arlington, Virginia
3. Minneapolis, Minnesota
4. Boston, Massachusetts
5. Washington, D.C.
6. Seattle, Washington
7. Austin, Texas
8. Lincoln, Nebraska
9. Atlanta, Georgia
10. Lubbock, Texas

Incidentally, Lincoln, Nebraska, while maybe not the pinnacle of excitement, also has an unemployment rate of just 2.5 percent, making finding a job there easier than any other city in the top 10.
