Rigby snowboarder thanks supporters before heading off to the Winter Olympic Games

IDAHO FALLS — A Rigby snowboarder is going to the Winter Olympic Games for the second time and supporters gathered Wednesday night to wish her good luck.

Jessika Jenson, a two time Winter Olympian, signed autographs and met her fans.

“It just means so much to send me good vibes before I leave to the Olympics,” Jenson said of the crowd who attended her meet and greet at the Shilo Inn in Idaho Falls.

She said she is excited to compete in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics for the second time after first appearing on team USA in 2014 at the Sochi Olympics where she took 13th Slopestyle.

“It’s such an honor and a privilege to go and represent my country as well as southeast Idaho in the 2018 Winter Olympics,” she said.

She said she wants people in east Idaho to know she’s going to ride her best.

“It’s just so rewarding to know that the last four years has paid off, and I’m fulfilling another dream,” Jenson said.
