LITTLEFIELD, Arizona — Authorities confirmed Thursday that the remains of a West Jordan woman who went missing in January have been found in the northwest Arizona desert.
The remains of Susan Marie McFalls, 63, were found in the Virgin River Gorge area in Mohave County, Arizona, according to Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster. KSL.com reports that officials located the remains on Oct. 18 but did not identify them until Thursday.
McFalls and her husband Jerry McFalls were last heard from on Jan. 11, according to family members. They are from West Jordan but also had a home in Littlefield, Arizona.
Sheriff’s officials also located a second set of remains in the same area on Oct. 18, but had not identified them as of Thursday, Schuster said.
The investigation into the remains is ongoing.
