Man arrested after walking into Maverik naked

REXBURG — A man was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of indecent exposure and disturbing the peace.
Anil Saini, 27, walked into Maverik at 859 W. Main Street around 3:30 a.m. He was not wearing any clothes and began yelling that he needed help, according to police.
“He didn’t threaten anybody but said he needed to get to the hospital,” Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis says. “He then left and when our guys arrived, we found him outside the store.”
Saini told officers he was on an acid trip and did not know where he was, according to Lewis. Police took him to the Madison Memorial Hospital for treatment before he was booked into the Madison County Jail.
Saini is expected to appear in court early this week for an initial hearing.
