Tales of the Dinner Belle

It’s no secret that my husband has a sweet tooth. He loves anything that even resembles cookies, cakes, or pastries. And when it comes to these sweet treats, he doesn’t just desire them at dessert. One of his favorite times to enjoy them is with his morning coffee. My caramel apple pie bars are perfect for his early morning treat.

They are easy to make and have just the right amount of sweetness for that time of the day.

The brown sugar and cinnamon sprinkle is perfectly blended with the butter and apples. It bakes up with the crescent dough into a flakey and tasty pastry. The caramel topping just adds to the decadent flavor. This delicious treat is hard to resist at any time of the day.

Belle’s Caramel Apple Pie Bars

1 package crescent roll dough (sheet)
1 apple, cored and finely chopped
½ brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 teaspoons caramel topping

Unroll the crescent roll dough and place on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with the melted butter and then sprinkle with the sugar mixture.

Place the apples evenly over the top and then drizzle with the caramel topping. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
