Community grieves after father of 4 dies in crash
Published at | Updated atBLACKFOOT — A community is mourning after a local man was killed in a head-on car crash in North Dakota Thursday.
Bryan Walker, 30, died at a hospital following the head-on collision near Mandaree, North Dakota. He was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado around 7 a.m. when it collided with another pickup that slid around a curve into Walker’s lane, the North Dakota Highway Patrol told the Grand Forks Herald.
Walker had been working for the past five years as an oil field coordinator in North Dakota. The job would take him away from his family for months at a time.
“He is probably the funniest man I have ever met,” Meagan Breshears, his sister-in-law, told EastIdahoNews.com.
Breshears said Walker was hardworking and loved his family. He spent time with his wife, Marinda, and their four kids and he did what he could in order to care and provide for them, she said.
To help the family in this time of need, a GoFundMe has been created. Breshears said “anything would be helpful” — even a donation of flowers for the services.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m.
