Jefferson School District announces superintendent finalists

The Jefferson Joint School District’s Board of Trustees has narrowed down the pool of superintendent candidates for further consideration in their superintendent search to replace Lisa Sherick who retired in January.
Trustees reviewed and discussed candidate’s qualifications during an executive session on Wednesday night.
The board met in open session Friday, continued their discussion and forwarded four names on for further consideration.
“I’m very impressed with the number and the quality of the applicants. I feel very confident that we will be
able to select a highly qualified educational leader for our district,” said Vice Chairman Leon Clark.
The board plans to name a new superintendent by the end of February.

Karla LaOrange: LaOrange is the Teacher Education Department Chair for BYU‐Idaho
Chad Martin: Martin is the Director of Secondary Education for Jefferson Joint School District 251
Sarah Sanders: Dr. Sanders is the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education for Idaho Falls School District 91
Joel Wilson: Dr. Wilson is the Superintendent for Butte County School District 111
