DRIGGS — A winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow to the Idaho/Wyoming state line starting late Tuesday night until early Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the following counties: Fremont, Teton, Caribou, Clark, eastern Madison, eastern Bonneville, and eastern Bingham. The cities of Victor, Ashton, Driggs, Tetonia, Island Park, Soda Springs, Henry, Bone, Clayton and Hailey will be impacted.
NWS officials say the region may see between 10 to 14 inches of snow. The highest elevation areas may receive between 14 to 18 inches.
The snow may reduce visibility on roads. Two highways in the area are already closed due to winter conditions. Idaho Highway 33 between Newdale and Tetonia and Idaho Highway 32 between Ashton and Tetonia closed Sunday and have yet to reopen for any significant period of time.
