Life Lessons: Donna Ammon reflects on her time in the military and why it’s the best thing she’s ever done
Life Lessons is sponsored by MorningStar Senior Living of Idaho Falls, which offers independent and assisted living for seniors within a beautiful setting. MorningStar celebrates and elevates the lives of those who taught the rest of us how to live.
Life is hard, stressful, fast-paced and can sometimes be overwhelming. That’s why EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with MorningStar Senior Living of Idaho Falls to bring you Life Lessons.
We’re asking MorningStar residents to share gems of wisdom every Tuesday with us. Some of their answers will make you laugh, some may make you cry, some may even change your life.
Memorial Day is coming up and we are spending the next few weeks honoring veterans who live at MorningStar. We spent an afternoon at the Aero Mark hanger in Idaho Falls speaking with some of these residents who have served our country.
Donna Ammon was in the Marines from January 1962-January 1964. She was the Secretary to the Commander of Security and says serving in the military is “the best thing she’s ever done.”
She and her husband, Robert, sat down with us and shared some memories along with lessons they have learned over the years.
