1. Name and Job Title: Kurt Krupp Jr., Director of Operations for IDeACOM ECSI

2. What do you do in your position? My position is to make sure everyone who works in our operations team are led, supported, trained, and understands our processes, so they can serve and help our customers to the best of their abilities.

3. Where were you born and when is your birthday? I graduated in the class of 1990 from Bonneville High School.

4. How long have you lived in eastern Idaho and what city do you live in now? I have lived in eastern Idaho for most of my life.

5. Tell us about your first job after high school or college. After college I worked for KIFI TV in Idaho Falls in their production department making commercials and content for the news department.

6. What is the best business decision you’ve ever made? Our team of technicians, and those that support them, are the best business decision we have made. We have an awesome group of people to work with.

7. Tell us about your family. My wife and I have been married for 23 years. We have 3 wonderful kids.

8. Tell us about a movie or book that has inspired you the most in life. The book that has inspired me the most in life is ‘Leadership and Self-Deception’ by the Arbinger Institute. It teaches how to see people as people and not as objects.

9. Tell us about a lesson you learned from a mistake you made in your career. Communication is key in strong relationships.

10. What is the goal you hope to accomplish in the next 12 months? Continued education, and cross-training, to raise the level of product knowledge of all operation team members.

11. What is one piece of advice you have for someone who wants to do what you’re doing? Make sure you know what your purpose is.

12. If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? I would make sure I understood my role and delegate better.

13. Where is your favorite place to eat in eastern Idaho? Stockman’s

14. Tell us something surprising about yourself. I was a drug runner. I worked for a local drug wholesaler called Newbro Drug. They had a daily route to local pharmacies, which included narcotics in our shipments.

15. How do you like your potatoes? Baked.
