Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Snowfall and high winds continue to impact a section of southeastern Idaho Thursday morning. As a result several school districts have canceled classes for the day.

- Marsh Valley School District 21
- Bear Lake School District 33
- Salmon School District 291
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory and a winter storm warning along the Idaho/Wyoming border and in the region southeast of Pocatello and Idaho Falls. The advisory and warning are in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday. Total snow accumulations of a one to eight inches in the lower elevations are expected. Six to 11 inches are predicted at high elevations.
Winds are gusting as high as 45 mph, resulting in blowing and drifting snow.
Idaho Highway 34 between Soda Springs and the Wyoming border remains closed Thursday morning, and other closures are possible today. For the latest conditions visit 511 Idaho.
