This organ teacher was in the middle of a lesson when the Secret Santa elves knocked on her door with a gift

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Becky is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. Over the past 38 years, she has accompanied and performed at countless funerals, weddings, wedding receptions, recitals, and community events at no cost and with a happy, willing heart. She has been a guest (volunteer) Tabernacle organist for many years in Salt Lake City and she also volunteers as an accompanist for the Eastern Idaho Chorale.
She is single and has been self-reliant for all these years– earning her living by teaching piano and organ lessons at BYU-Idaho and in her own home. With the continuing costs of running her own music studio, it’s been difficult for her to run her business without a computer or cell phone and internet/cell service.
During the pandemic, Becky learned how to use technology to teach organ lessons remotely online to her BYU-Idaho students, a difficult task in her field, which she did using campus internet and computers.
Over the past several decades, Becky has produced multiple generations of pianists, organists, and music teachers. She has helped the musical arts flourish and expand in eastern Idaho and elsewhere in a way second to none, and she has received very little credit for it. She is a silent, quiet person who doesn’t seek attention for all the good she does.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to stop by Becky’s house and drop off an early Christmas gift. She was in the middle of a lesson when we showed up!
