IDAHO FALLS — Two men died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning. The incident happened at the off-ramp from Interstate 15 onto U.S. Highway 20, near Grandview Bridge in Idaho Falls.
Shortly after 12 p.m., first responders were called to the area for a vehicle crash, according to a news release from the Idaho Falls Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found the car off the roadway, Jessica Clements, spokesperson for the Idaho Falls Police Department said in the news release.
Two men in the car were dead when responders arrived, she said.
A white BMW was traveling west on US-20 early Saturday morning when it reportedly crossed both lanes of travel, striking the guard rail and rolling. The car came to rest on its side.
“Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this crash,” Clements stated.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Idaho Falls Police, Idaho Falls Fire and Hendricksons towing were on scene for about two-and-a-half hours. One lane of traffic was closed during much of this time to give responders room to work safely.
